Midwest Emergency Preparedness and Response Conference 2018

The Winnebago County Local Emergency Committee is now accepting abstracts for 20th Midwest Emergency Preparedness and Response Conference to be held in Rockford, IL on April 17 – 18, 2018. Historically attendees to this conference come from all over the Midwest and include representatives from many disciplines including: Fire, Law Enforcement, Emergency Managers, Healthcare, Public Health, LEPC members and Industrial Tier II filers, and more.

The Winnebago County Local Emergency Preparedness Committee (LEPC) is seeking proposals for practitioner-based, change focused processes and practices for the 2018 Midwest Emergency Preparedness and Response Conference. The focus of the session(s) may include new processes, technologies, techniques and/or tools, creativity, and innovation used within Emergency Preparedness.

The presentation should demonstrate a successful approach to at least one of the four phases of emergency preparedness: Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery. Abstracts related to case studies, infrastructure, fire, spills, continuity of operations, safety, incident management and related topics are encouraged
